Dean Regas is a renowned public speaker, author, educator, national popularizer of astronomy and an expert in observational astronomy. Dean learned to explore the night sky operating the Wolff Planetarium for the Cincinnati Parks and as the astronomer for the Cincinnati Observatory. He was also the co-host of PBS’ Star Gazers TV show from 2010-2019 and is the host of the popular astronomy podcast, Looking UP with Dean Regas. This is Dean’s seventh book.

"Lacee Finds a Friend" is based on a true story of an alpaca that was unwanted by other farmers and children due to the way she looked and her inability to hear and see those around her. This heartwarming story chronicles Lacee's journey to a new farm, and after proving her worth to others, finding a special friend in a young lady that struggled to fit in with her peers. Together, the young lady and the misfit alpaca begin an amazing friendship. The unbreakable bond of friendship takes them to places that many deemed impossible.
